Although entirely online, Global Town School preserves invaluable teacher-student and student-students interactions through comprehensive coaching, content experts, and collaboration opportunities. At the center our of program are real human interactions.
The founders of GTS are experienced educators, academics, and entrepreneurs who have successfully developed ways to address some of the fundamental flaws of schooling over the years. GTS is the culmination of such efforts. More specifically, GTS's education model addresses the following problems of the current school systems, both brick-and-mortar or online.
Tony Wagner of Harvard University identifies five ways the culture of schooling today is fundamentally and radically at odds with the culture of learning that develops the capacity to be a creative problem solver:
-The focus is on individual achievement rather than collaboration.
-Specialization is celebrated instead of the integration of various disciplines.
-Risk aversion is the norm because failing is seen as terrible and penalized.
-Learning is profoundly passive, and students do not build agency.
-Extrinsic incentives drive learning rather than interest and passion.
Technology advances significantly and brings us new immersive and creative opportunities. However, how we educate our children falls short of meeting these new opportunities. Current education systems usually lag the digital leaps and get caught in the undertow. Integration of virtual reality and metaverse in education is no exception.
Current online education options for 6-12 in the U.S. do not provide the immersive learning experience Global Town School does through incorporating Virtual Reality and metaverse.
Teacher-child, child-child, and teacher-parent social relations are critical forms of communication that are absent to a large extent in currently available online education options. Students often go through pre-uploaded content independently without interacting with a teacher. If human interactions are offered, it is limited at best.

Our personalized approach starts with an individualized learning plan for each student, tailored to their unique strengths, interests, passions, goals, and life styles.
At GTS, students can choose from 100s of classes, study them at their own pace, access college courses, go deeper in areas of interests, conduct independent studies, and enjoy multidisciplinary coursework created just for them.
Additionally, we prepare interested students for national and international competitions and Olympiads in various disciplines. Our rich academic experience include participation in in academically oriented in-person and online workshops and camps at college campuses, too. No two students have the same learning experience at GTS.
We offer accelerated learning opportunities for gifted and talented students and International Baccalaureate programs.
Flexibility that you need
GTS provides high level of flexibility without sacrificing the quality of learning students deserve. Today’s students are engaged in many invaluable experiences outside the school such as sports, music, performance art, business, media, activism, and hobbies. Schooling should not limit students’ ability to maximize such authentic learning and growth opportunities.
Furthermore, students should not sacrifice the quality of education to get involved in such opportunities. Global Town offers a rigorous, high-quality, college preparatory learning experience in the most flexible way possible.
Learning bolstered by VR
Our use of virtual reality technology takes learning to the next level, creating immersive experiences that bring subjects to life and allow students to explore, experiment, and discover in ways that were previously impossible. This creates a truly unique learning environment that is both stimulating and enjoyable for students.
We also create invaluable immersive social interaction and collaboration opportunities for our students. Utilizing our virtual campus, students and teachers come together, collaborate, interact with each other, and create experiences that are not possible in a physical school building or a conventional online school. These experience range from dissecting large animals, traveling to different sites, exploring 3D objects, and practicing immersive language to interacting with historical figures.
Comprehensive coaching
At GTS, we recognize that a student's personal growth is just as important as their academic development. That's why our comprehensive coaching program supports students in all areas of their lives, including social and emotional skills, leadership qualities, soft-skills, and a lifelong love of learning.
Every GTS student has a success coach, who has a proven track record in working with middle and high school students. Working with their success coach, GTS students schedule their coursework, set up short and long-term goals, develop the necessary mindset and organizational skills to succeed in the 21st century. Success coaches help GTS students overcome any challenges, reach their full potential, and connect with resources they need to attain their goals.
Technologies that combine AI and learning science
In addition to virtual reality technology, Global Town School utilizes award winning technologies that combine learning science, artificial intelligence, and neuroscience to assess student learning, spot and plug gaps in knowledge, and developed personalized, targeted academic support.
Our content experts monitor student learning and academic growth of each student and provide timely and effective support utilizing such technologies.
A truly global environment
At GTS, we accept students from across the U.S, and around the globe. Our students collaborate and interact with classmates from a different cities, states, and countries. They get exposed and learn about different cultures, appreciate diversity, and establish a lifelong global network. In addition to online interactions, GTS brings their students together in person during summers through various activities and academically-oriented programs.

Meta Global Labs
We have designed Meta Global Labs, a wide array of virtual biology, physics, and chemistry labs, educational experiences, and virtual cities in our metaverse campus where students will not only have equal opportunities for hands-on experiences as traditional in-person learning but will have much more.
College Guidance
We believe that every student can go to their dream college if the pathway is designed correctly. With our one-on-one personalized coaches and the use of artificial intelligence, each student’s academic, social, and personal development pathways and roadmaps will be designed with this in mind.
