Global Town is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC). WASC is one of the six regional accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. ACS WASC accreditation, which renews every three years, ensures that Global Town School is committed to continuous improvement and high-quality learning and programming. Because of the ACS WASC accreditation, Global Town School diploma and courses are accepted by colleges and other middle and high schools. College Board pioneered programs like the SAT and AP to help students develop the skills they need. College Board, therefore, approved GTS’s AP courses by performing AP Course Audits to ensure the courses meet the expected level of rigor. Our students take the AP courses with us and the AP exams at their home districts. GTS’ College Board code or CEE code: 474905
Many of the GTS courses have been reviewed and approved by National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA. NCAA schools requires college-bound students to build a strong academic foundation to prepare them for the academic expectations in college. The NCAA requires freshman student-athletes entering NCAA Division I and II to complete 16 credits of NCAA-approved courses. A-G approved
Many of the GTS courses are A-G approved. Students planning to apply and attend University of California schools and California State University are required to complete 15 A-G approved courses throughout their high school. With taking A-G approved courses, we ensure our students are well prepared to succeed at a University of California school or University of California’s 23 campuses across California.
